MUSCAT: As the Sultanate set to reopen its airports after seven months, Oman Airports has issued a set of guidelines that should be followed by passengers arriving in the country from October 1.
Following are the guidelines:
- Only Omani citizens and residents in possession of an active residency are permitted to enter the Sultanate without prior approval.
- Travellers are required to have an international health insurance that covers the expenses of Covid-19 treatment for a minimal period of 1 month.
- Tarassud + application must be downloaded before entering Oman, and registration must be completed after arrival.
- All individuals entering Oman must take the (Covid-19, PCR) lab test and pay its cost of OMR 25/-
- Airplane crew and children below the age of 15 are exempt from taking the (Covid-19, PCR)test.
- Airplane crew members are exempt from quarantine and they must instead abide by the precautionary measures issued by the Ministry of Health for airplane crew members.
- All parties involved must follow up on the latest updates pertaining to these requirements issued by the Civil Aviation Authority through its official platforms.
