MUSCAT : Musandam Governorate, a mountainous Omani peninsula projecting into the Strait of Hormuz, has been making headlines for all the right reasons. How?

It was only on Wednesday, June 29, that His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik issued Royal Decree No. (54/2022) establishing the National Natural Park Reserve in the Governorate of Musandam.

Rightly so, this eco-haven is also home to one of the Sultanate’s best adventure destinations as more and more travel bugs are eager to paraglide through its mountains.

Adventure lovers would without a doubt be thrilled at the idea of paragliding whilst taking in the natural beauty of Musandam. Itching to give it a shot? Head over to Zighy Bay – a hotspot for paragliding and parasailing activities in the governorate.

Flying at almost 1000-ft above sea level, you’re surely going to feel like that phoenix soaring high up in the sky. The valleys, mountains, beaches and bays – Musandam has got it all. What’s even better – basking in the natural glory of Musandam from a bird’s eye view. A spectacular experience indeed!
