Oman has issued a statement following a remark made by a Chinese investor about doing business in Duqm.
On Thursday, the Special Economic Zone Authority (SEZAD) issued a statement online stressting that the project requirements within the authority are completed as quickly as possible and often on the same day.
“The authority provided all the facilities to the investor, including all the foreign manpower, whether in the name of the developed company or on behalf of the contracting company he established to implement the real estate projects,” SEZAD said.

The Chinese businessman had appeared on an Oman TV discussion show and raised concerns about red tape and delayed amenities like water and electricity supplies in the Duqm zone.
