MUSCAT: A total of 13,843 voters residing outside Oman voted for the tenth term of Shura Council elections via Intekhab app on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
In a statement issued, the Ministry of Interior said 9,230 males, and 4,613 females residing abroad voted in the elections that started at 8am. Voting for citizens in Oman will take place on October 29. As per the details released by the ministry, a record number of 753,690 registered voters will take part in the exercise to elect 90 members from 843 candidates including 32 women.
