MUSCAT: The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) warned all suppliers and commercial stores against exploiting the tropical cyclone situation by increasing prices or by carrying out any acts contrary to the Consumer Protection Law and its executive regulations.
Cyclone Tej is expected to make landfall in Dhofar Governorate and Al Wusta region on Sunday. In a statement issued on Saturday, CPA warned commercial stores against raising prices of goods and services.
Meanwhile, CPA confirmed the availability of all essential goods in Dhofar and Al Wusta region and its cadres are prepared to deal with the tropical situation.
